Review sites are a blessing for homeowners who need work done on their homes. It saves them from having to ask for references, which can be awkward to call in — and also provides a more reliable review than a company-provided testimonial. There are several places to find the best roofing company reviews Kansas City has to offer.

1. The Better Business Bureau

The Better Business Bureau website will tell you several things about a business:

• Whether they adhere to higher standards of excellence and ethics (BBB-member or not)
• How long the company has been in business
• What the company’s local address is
• How many complaints the company has had over the last 3 years
• What type of complaints were filed and whether they were resolved or not

2. Angie’s List

You have to pay to access Angie’s List reviews, but you can check out a few roofing companies using their free trial. According to the New York Times, “At Angie’s List, the reviews are real.”  In order to write a review, people must use their real name and information — rather than being able to post anonymously. Companies may obtain a person’s name if they wish to reach out to the reviewer to offer compensation to assuage them after a scathing review.

3. City Search

We find that City Search has the most active reviewers, so you’ll have plenty to read about. Here people only tend to write a sentence or two, but it will give you a rough idea of what to expect from a roofing company.
